“Tch, yeah. Usually that should make one of us worried about why it’s so damn quiet but… lately, I’ll take a bit of quiet.” Ashley admitted. Being back on the Normandy after spending a month in Huerta, she was ready to go head on into every mission she was given. “Nah, it’s fine. I mean at a time like this, it’s not that grim in comparison.”
“I suppose you’re right.” Maybe a change in subject would be a good idea. If they talked about the Reaper war for too long, he’d end up being more depressed than he already was, and he didn’t want to get that low. As it was now, he was able to fight through it, ignoring the racing thoughts and worries, but it became harder and harder to do every day. Casual conversations about anything but the war was something he welcomed with open arms and a soft turian grin.
“So, what’s it like being the second human Spectre? That’s got to be a pretty good achievement, right?”
