“They do?” That was news to her. Every species had their own perks; humanity’s was there resilience and diversity—both in phenotype and genotype, it seemed. “These days, there are ways to regrow Human skin, graft on donated skin and whatnot for surgery… Do they have something similar for Turian plating?”

And if so, would Garrus elect to have such a surgery done if his wounds were severe enough? If there was a possibility, and if Garrus wanted it, Shepard would’ve done what she could to make that a reality. Not like she’d tell him straight out the gate or unprompted, but she felt it only fair. He’d done a lot to help her back when they were hunting Saren, after all.

“Probably because you can’t afford a new set. At least, not right now—hah.” Winter ducked her gaze down then, a shadow of a smile lightening her features as she did so.

“Though I can’t argue with that logic. Unfortunately, there’s a good list of mercs that have and will, I’m afraid.”

In my opinion, yes, we heal faster. At least, we are back out in the field sooner than humans are, I’ve noticed.” There was nothing to back up his claim of turians healing faster than humans besides his own personal experiences. In his life, he’s found that humans take a bullet to the thigh and act like it’s the end of the world, whereas a turian could take the same hit and be back out with a gun in hand in just a day or two. It probably had a lot to do with the protective plating he had that humans didn’t have, but in general members of his species were raised to never throw in the towel, even if they were seriously injured or maimed; in that way, he was a shining example of his race.

Her comment about his armor made a soft chuckle leave him. “Yeah, I can’t afford another set, but you have to admit that I look like a badass with it on.” When he looked at himself in the mirror, he tried to tell himself that his wounds and battle-damaged armor made him look tough, rather than weak like he felt like he was. The fact that he was the one who made the mistake that resulted in getting hit with a rocket in the face still troubled him, though what he actually did to get into the crossfire is unknown to him at this point; the memories were fragmented and blurry.

As far as treating the scarring… I don’t know. From what I can understand, skin grafts and bone grafts are common these days for most species, but I’ve never heard of anyone regrowing plating on a turian. Then again, I’m not a scientist or anything.” The idea was interesting to think about, but probably not something he would ever consider doing himself.
